Formosa Nostalgia Dong Ding is the modern version dedicated to grandpa's Dong Ding Oolong with a fresh twist. Strictly following traditional Dong Ding Oolong process, our Nostalgia Dong Ding is hand roasted, produces full bodied long lasting fruity aroma. The taste lighter and fresher compares to traditional dark roasted Dong Ding.

Brewing:

Steep 1 teaspoon tea leaves in 150cc(5oz) 95°C(203F) water, steam about 1 minute for the first brew to unroll the leaves. 30-40 seconds for the second infusion, and double the timing for the following infusions. Provides 3 or more infusions.

The tea leaves need to be fully expanded in the container. To avoid over packed, loose tea leaves should be less than 1/4 full of the teapot or container. After steeping, the tea leaves will expand to 80%-90% of the container.

Teaware:
Gongfu teaware or Yixing pots suit best for Oolong tea, glassware, Gaiwan, or porcelain teaware are also good personal choices.

REVIEW BY: Andy B Reviewed  21 November 2008
I recently this amazing gem of a tea called Nostalgia Dong Ding and was oh so pleasantly surprised. This is some of the best tea I've had anywhere and I drink a lot of tea from a lot of different sources. My friend Shiuwen from Floating Leaves in Seattle was remarking to me that she wanted some really good Dong Ding like the kind she fondly remembered from her village in Taiwan. Her reminiscing set me on a journey to find something like what she described to me. This tea tastes like the legendary she told me about...old masters making artisan tea unlike any other. I highly recommend this sweet, sweet nectar. It has quickly taken a foothold in my top three favorite teas.
